"All the nations You have made will come and worship before You..." Psalm 86:9
Our community. Our friends. Our family. In one place, creating lasting relationships. In this place, everyone is welcome to come and discover Jesus, His church and what it means to be part of His family.
"He heals the brokenhearted..." Psalm 47:3
A place for the disconnected and the hurting. A place where the broken can come and find connections that bring the healing, hope and restoration of God into their lives. A place for connections that empower destiny.
"Tell to the coming generations the glorious deeds of The Lord..." Psalm 78:4
We're not just building a structure. We're creating a legacy. A place where every generation can find the love and grace of Jesus Christ; where our kids can establish God-connections that propel them into the future God has planned for them, and where every person can find their fit in His Church.
LifeGate Church began in 2004 with a vision to be a regional church sharing the life-giving message of Jesus with West Georgia and the world. In the past 10 years, we’ve watched that vision come to pass as we grew from a church plant of 30 people to an average weekly attendance of over 1,200. We planted churches not only in Villa Rica, but in Bremen, Carrollton and two churches in Niger, Africa. God has done amazing things at LifeGate and He has even more incredible things to come.
We believe God is calling us to be a place of connections. A place where people can make meaningful relationships with others, a place where our community can encounter the love of Jesus and a place where our kids discover the real life found in Him. It’s time to move forward into the dream God has for our city.
When the church moves forward, the world moves forward. The church is God’s instrument of grace for this world. Our mission is to connect people to that grace. Our new, spacious and welcoming Connection Center will provide an atmosphere where people can find connections to empower their destiny, a place for people to serve in their ministry and where every generation can take their place in the Church.
I believe that this is the next step for LGC. I know that giving sacrificially to Forward will bring the Kingdom kind of rewards into my life and our church.
Every gift matters. For People. For Connections. For the future. When we invest in what God values, everyone wins. If each adult who attends LGC simply gave an extra $10 a week, we could raise $494,000 in just one year! Now is the time for you to make an eternal impact through your giving.
The 300 is a group of people who have committed to give at least $3,000 above their regular tithes & offerings to FORWARD in the next 12 months. This group of givers is committed to and focused on seeing the vision God has for LGC come to pass, now and in the future.
There will be a place for you to select FORWARD once you are logged in.
Once we have reached 1 million in cash, the Trustees will develop the projected date for breaking ground. Remember it is our goal to finish this project without increasing our debt load, so the Trustees will make this decision based on what they believe God directs them to do taking into accont the money raised and the projected time to raise the remaining amount. They will also look at the best times of the year to break ground when considering weather and construction costs.
Pastor Tony spoke of God's people, bringing what He has provided. I have a story of Him providing for me for Forward. I had been trying to get a part-time job for several months, prior to your message of our Forward project. I wanted this job for extra spending money, as I'm on a fixed income. For over six months I had no luck, not one call or interview.
After Pastor's message, I prayed as he asked. I asked God to provide a way for me to contribute to Forward. Within a few days I had a call for a job interview. It was not a location I had visited. However, it was one of the companies, to which, I had submitted an application. I showed up for my interview, and was hired, without even being questioned. I have been there for about two months, and have been able to make my Forward contribution.
~a member of LifeGate Church
Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, given entrance by His precious blood, and I ask for your help in completing this vision we believe you have given to LifeGate Church. You have called us to move FORWARD in reclaiming the local church's place as a "3rd space" in our community--a place where people choose to gather to connect with others outside of their homes and their work or school.
Your Word says I am to ask, believing I have received and to speak of those things that are not as though they are. Therefore, I proclaim, in accordance with Your Word and with faith in Your promises, that this project is Finished, Furnished, Full and Free!
I believe we will finish this project ahead of schedule and under budget, that we break ground on this building no later than 2016.
I pray this building will be furnished completely and in excellence, in a way that honors You, lifts up Jesus and draws our community to 'come and see'. I believe there will not only be the right equipment and furniture, but it will be staffed with the right people, each of them finding their place in serving this community and extending Your Kingdom.
I ask You to draw people from the north, south, east and west to this place You have chosen. That it will be filled with those who are being saved, healed and delivered as the Gospel of Jesus is proclaimed in our words and our deeds. I pray that Your Spirit will draw people, that they will experience Your presence, find their purpose and make the connections You have planned for them. That they will then 'go and tell' the great things You have done, causing others to 'come and see'. I proclaim this new facility will always be full of people rejoicing and praising Your great name!
And finally, I ask you to stir the hearts of Your people to give generously as You provide so that we can complete this project without incurring debt. I believe You will bring the funds needed, that You have positioned people to respond to Your voice, and through our obedience You will provide more than enough to fund this project. I proclaim that we will arise and build debt-free!
Thank You Father for the great privilege of partnering with You in the work of Your Kingdom. I will rejoice, believing I have received, knowing You have heard my prayers offered in the mighty name of Jesus.
Zechariah 8:9 “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Be strong and finish the task! Ever since the laying of the foundation of the Temple of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, you have heard what the prophets have been saying about completing the building."
Exodus 25:1 "God spoke to Moses: “Tell the Israelites that they are to set aside offerings for me. Receive the offerings from everyone who is willing to give...You are to construct it following the plans I’ve given you, the design for The Dwelling and the design for all its furnishings."
Acts 2:46-47 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
Exodus 36:6-7 "So Moses gave the command, and this message was sent throughout the camp: “Men and women, don’t prepare any more gifts for the sanctuary. We have enough!” So the people stopped bringing their sacred offerings. Their contributions were more than enough to complete the whole project."
That God would give you the same spirit He gave David regarding giving; a spirit that is quick to recognize the resources of Heaven and swift to respond in giving; a spirit that seeks to be generous with every gift
That you would remember God in all your giving; that He would cause you to be successful in what you put your hand to in order that you can honor Him with more
That you would honor the Lord with your resources in such a way that He would cause increase; that as the increase comes, you would remember from whom it comes and for what purpose
That as you give, your gift is blessed by God and He causes supernatural return, in order for you to increase your generosity
For a spirit of generosity to come upon you and to be compelled to sow generously
